Dekyi-Lee Oldershaw is a leading edge experiential educator, trainer, author and speaker who can help you and your organization to make a difference. She has inspired hundreds of others to lead the way to positive change.
A former national-level athlete and coach, her interest in the power of the mind led her from testing it for performance to refining it to transform problems: physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. Seven years as a Tibetan Buddhist nun deepened her understanding by studying how the mind and perception affects the body and why her Transformative Mindfulness self-healing methods work so powerfully for almost anyone.
She trains facilitators around the world in social , education and health services, government and other arenas in methods which seem simple and fun, yet have profound results.
Her recent trainings for doctors and healthcare professionals in Italy have led to her methods being included in a Master’s degree in Meditation and Mindfulness: Neuroscience and Clinical Application in the Helping Professions at the University of Florence’s Department of Neurological and Psychiatric Sciences and is the first in the world to include these intervention methods.
Her first book, 16 Guidelines for Life, co-authored with Alison Murdoch, is now being translated into eight languages and has been integrated into schools, prisons, drug rehabilitation, mental health and other areas around the world.
